Lisa Leahy

Lisa Leahey, MA, LPCC, NCC, received her M.A. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary with honors, after many years as a manager for the Walt Disney Company and later as an airfreight sales executive.  While taking time off to raise her three children, and throughout her life, she has worked on a church staff and in various volunteer positions as a Children’s Ministry Program Director, women’s ministry counselor, and public speaker on various issues relating to counseling and family life.

Walking through the personal struggles with so many men, women, and families in various ministry contexts led her to pursue counseling and specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) or Couples, Prepare-Enrich Pre-Marital and Marital Counseling, EMDR Trauma Therapy, and CBT and Exposure-Therapy Training to treat PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

Lisa enjoys helping clients with their deepest issues, which she feels is the key to real transformation and freedom from confusion, abuse, anxiety, and depression.  She works with couples, individuals, and families who want to transform their current relationships, experience intimacy, or are healing from broken relationships.  She is a regular volunteer speaker at, and also has experience working with teens in an outpatient program treating an array of mental health concerns. She has done extensive research in helping spouses, children, and parents heal from emotionally troubling relationships with a loved one that has a personality disorder or is struggling with addictive behaviors.

She doesn’t just believe in change and transformation – she is honored to have experienced this with her clients firsthand in an atmosphere of empathy, trust, and respect.  You can schedule an appointment with her by calling 720-541-8165.
